Fight for images of pre-salt does not care for Fifa 2014

                                                

Rio de Janeiro Governor Sergio Cabral said that the sharing of royalties from the exploitation of oil in the Brazilian pre-salt layer impeded the achievement of the World Cup 2014 and Olympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. 

   

The statement, however, not scared to FIFA about the completion of the World Cup - the governing body of the sport reaffirmed Friday the confidence in the capabilities of the country.

   

The division of royalties is causing controversy in recent days and reached thousands of people take to the streets of Rio de Janeiro to protest. Cabral said the court that the State of Rio de Janeiro would have with the income from the operation would reach $ 5 billion and would have prevented the implementation in Brazil of the two biggest events in sport.

However, the general secretary of FIFA, Jerome Valcke, it expressed concern with the statements of Cabral. During the announcement of the entity's financial report for 2009, the manager showed tranquility.

"I would say that the Olympics and World Cup events are different," said Valcke. "FIFA is not worried about that. We are working closely with the organizing committee, the trade agreements we have made in appeal and design of Brazil meets our expectations," he summarized.
